Bovis Names New Leader

Abadie steps down, Esposito promoted at Bovis. Also, CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. hires new Senior VP.

NEW HIRES

Jon Ernst has joined AWISCO, Corp., a New York based industrial supplies distributor, as Vice President, New Jersey and Export.

Adriana Acedo has joined Atlantic Development Group, a New York City based developer of residential and mixed-use properties, as director or marketing and tenant relations.

Clare M. Cerniglia has joined Pennoni Associates, a Philadelphia based consulting engineering firm, as a Senior Electrical Engineer in its Haddon Heights Mechanical/Electrical/ Plumbing Division.

Bill Birch has been hired by New Jersey based Casagrande USA, part of Casagrande S.p.a., an international heavy construction supply company headquartered in Fontanafredda, Italy as director of sales for North America.

Janet Whitney Snyder has joined Hacrow Yolles, a global building engineering consultant, as Principal in its New York office.

PROMOTIONS

Ralph Esposito was recently appointed Principal-in-Charge of the Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc. He assumes the role formerly held by James Abadie, who resigned from the fi rm on June 15.

Colin L. Reilly has been promoted to Senior Vice President of CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. Steven R. Lowe has been promoted to Associate of Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, a leading foundation engineering firm based in New York City.

HONORS AND APPOINTMENTS

Michael Gallina, Chief Commercial Banking Offi cer at NorthEast Community Bank, was recognized as a leading member by The Subcontractors Trade Association for specializing in lending to construction contractors.

Juliette G. Lam of HOK NY, has been selected by United Cerebral Palsy of New York City as a recipient of its “Women Who Care” honors.

Shelby Johnson of Theodore Williams Construction Company has been chosen to receive the Distinguished Engineer Award from the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University.

Joseph Celentano of Gibbons, Esposito & Boyce Engineers and HiRise Engineering was awarded the 2009 American Society of Civil Engineers New Metropolitan Section Long Island Branch “Engineer of the Year” for his outstanding service to the engineering community.

Peter Wohl has been appointed as the new President of Harriman Research and Technology Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Empire State Development.
