Ammann & Whitney of New York City has hired Henry Abernathy as vice president and chief architect.

Harold Kaye has joined Crystal Window & Door Systems senior vice president of business development.

PROMOTIONS

Bruce Eisenberg and Paul Sacco have been promoted to vice president of STV, and Molly MacQueen has been promoted to vice president and national manager of environmental planning services in STV’s Transportation and Infrastructure Division.

COMPANY NEWS

VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C. of Hauppauge, New York recently announced the opening of its Manhattan office at 1040 Avenue of the Americas. The office will be staffed to provide the Port Authority with on-call services as part of VHB’s current assignments at Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Stewart International Airport. The Manhattan office will be managed by Peter Byrne.

Strong Man Building Products Corp. has recently moved to a new location at 240 West Parkway Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Dagher Engineering, an engineering design firm based in New York City has received the American Council of Engineering Companies’ New York (ACEC-NY) Diamond Award, ACEC-NY’s top award for the category of Building and Technology Systems for engineering excellence for the design of a compressor-free geothermal cooling system at the e-House in upstate New York.
