NEW HIRES:
Jeffrey Marsden has joined engineering and architectural firm H2M as department manager of Civil Engineering in the New Jersey office.
Robert Fatovic has been hired by international architecture firm Cannon Design as vice president.
RICS Americas, the New York City division of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in London, announced Thomas Justin, principal and executive vice president of The Weitzman Group in New York, has been named chairman for 2008-2009.
Christopher Smith has joined Goldberg & Connolly, a law firm in Rockville Centre, New York, as an associate in the Construction and Labor Law Practice groups.
Timothy Shea, has been named senior vice president at Joseph R. Loring and Associates, Inc., an engineering firm in New York and New Jersey.
PROMOTIONS:
GREYHAWK, an international construction-consulting firm in New York, has selected Charles Romanoli as chief operating officer.
Richard Chudd and Thomas Harknett, have been elevated to senior associate and senior principal, respectively, at Manhattan architecture and engineering design firm Stantec David Beyers, Kiran Bhatt, Lloyd Warrick, Peter Koncelik, Edward Schnell and Russell Tomer have been promoted to associate.
Fletcher Thompson, an architecture, engineering and interior design firm in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, has promoted Kurt Baur, James Boughton and Daniel Casinelli to corporate vice president & principal; Diane Kozel to senior associate; and Richard Camara, Gerard Collette, Matthew Holst and Renee Zepeda to associate.

Arthur Eschete, Jr., chief coatings inspector of H2M in West Islip, New York, was presented with the Melvin C. Miller Award from the Metro NY section of the National Association of Coating Engineers.

Peter Gisolfi Associates, an architecture firm in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, won a Design Award from the Westchester/Mid-Hudson Chapter of AIA for White Hall at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, a project that also won a Gold Citation from American School & University magazine’s Educational Interiors Showcase.
