PWC Holds BIG Show

Annual Event Include Recruitment Fair and Networking. Also, Skanska honored for school pool construction.

The New York City and Vicinity Carpenters Labor-Management Corporation participated in INSTALL NYC’s New York Regional Floor Symposium. The all-day symposium was attended by over 250 design professionals and architects who work with the floor covering industry to specify INSTALL certification required for their projects.

The Professional Women in Construction’s National Trade Show and Professional Recruitment Fair, commonly known as The BIG Show, was recently held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. The event involved industry networking between the region’s major construction companies, public agencies, and woman and minority-owned businesses, as well as recruitment opportunities.

Skanska USA Building Inc. was recently honored by Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey at its Steps to Independence Dinner for contributions to the new aquatic therapy pool for the Horizon School, which serves more than 80 students with multiple disabilities throughout northern New Jersey. The dinner raised more than $250,000 for CPNJ.

The Walters Group, a builder in Southern New Jersey, recently collected approximately 3,000 garments for a clothing drive to benefit The Salvation Army. The donated goods are sold in the Salvation Army’s local thrift and family stores, which aid the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Trenton, an in-residence rehabilitation facility serving central New Jersey.
