Topping Out Celebration for 200 West End Avenue

Project team gathers for the milestone at the 173-unit, two-tower project in Manhattan.

The topping out of construction at 200 West End Avenue, a residential complex in Manhattan with 17- and 29-story towers, brought together New York’s Clarett Group, the developer, with members of the project team, including the architect, New York-based Costas Kondylis & Partners; the interiors designer, New York-based Kemble Interiors; and the construction manager, New York’s Bovis Lend Lease. AIA award to Terrence O'Neal

The national American Institute of Architects chapter recently recognized AIA New York State’s 2006 Spring Symposium program, entitled “One New York State: Urban Policy and Regional Design,” by presenting the Component Excellence Outstanding Single Program Award for Government Affairs to Terrence O’Neal, who served as president of the state’s AIA last year. Covenant House New York recently held its 20th Annual Lifeline Award Dinner at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan to recognize efforts to support the nonprofit adolescent care agency, which has placed more than 150 clients, including the Newson brothers, into the construction industry. Attended by more than 500 area professionals from the real estate development and construction industries, the dinner saluted the efforts of Franklin Square Iron Works, a longtime supporter, where Terry Newson is a vice president.
