REBNY Hosts 111th Annual Banquet

Real Estate Board honors six industry leaders at event attended by more than 2,500 at the New York Hilton in Manhattan.

Six industry leaders accepted awards at the Real Estate Board of New York’s recent annual banquet, the 111th in the trade organization’s history. The recipients were: Daniel Brodsky, a developer and partner of the Brodsky Organization, for the Bernard H. Mendik Lifetime Leadership in Real Estate Award; Jeffrey Brodsky, president of Related Management and executive vice president of Related Affordable, for the George M. Brooker Management Executive of the Year Award; Arnold Fisher, senior partner at Fisher Brothers, for the Kenneth R. Gerrety Humanitarian Award; Paul Massey Jr., co-founder of Massey Knakal Realty Services, for the Louis Smadbeck Broker Recognition Award; William Rudin, a developer and president of Rudin Management, for the Harry B. Helmsley Distinguished New Yorker Award; and Vincent Terranova, executive vice president and principal of Bernstein Real Estate, for the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association Young Real Estate Man of the Year Award. The new $13 million South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey opened with a gala event recently at the 46,000-sq-ft facility designed by RKT&B Architects. Attending the event were, from left to right: Jessica Finkelberg, SOPAC executive director; Paul Golden of Arnell Construction, the project’s general contractor; Carmi Bee, president of RKT&B Architects; Bill Calabrese, village president of South Orange; and Barbara Stoller, chair of SOPAC’s Board of Governors.

 

More than three dozen real estate brokers attended a recent financial planning seminar in White Plains presented by UBS Financial Services of Greenwich and hosted by the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, a new development in White Plains being built by Cappelli Enterprises. The attendees included, from left, Geoffrey Berry, Houlihan Lawrence; Jessica Rohm, Cappelli Enterprises; Beth Cutler, UBS; and Jason Andrews, UBS.

 

The recent Fiorello H. LaGuardia Award Dinner hosted by the New School in Manhattan recognized John Tishman, who is chairman and CEO of New York’s Tishman Realty & Construction, as this year’s honoree, and featured a keynote address by U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. At the event were, from left: Tishman; Clinton; and New School University President Bob Kerrey.
