Winning Project Teams Gather at Best of 2006 Event
Representatives from the 40 award-winning projects met one last time at New York’s Marriott Marquis.
As 2006 drew to a close, more than 600 people assembled in Manhattan to attend New York Construction’s Best of 2006 awards ceremony.
The breakfast event featured special recognition of the large team that built the 46-story Hearst Tower, the competition’s overall Project of the Year and honors for the 39 other winning projects.
Also honored at the event was New York Construction’s Contractor of the Year, Sciame Construction, represented by, from left to right, Michael Porcelli and Jim Kilkenny, both executive vice presidents; President Joseph Mizzi; CEO Frank Sciame; and Ralph Thompson, also an executive vice president.
The event also featured a salute to New York Construction’s Owner of the Year, Forest City Ratner Cos., represented by Robert Sanna, executive vice president and director of the construction design department.
