has established a scholarship in mechanical and electrical
engineering studies at the Cooper Union for the Advancement
of Science and Art in Manhattan.
Fox & Fowle Architects, a 27-year-old architectural practice
based in New York, has renamed itself FXFowle
Architects.
Newmark Construction Services,
a real estate services firm headquartered in New York, is
merging with Knight Frank, a real estate consultancy based
in London. Effective Jan. 1, the combined firm will become
Newmark Knight Frank, taking over $41 billion worth of transactions
with revenues of $525 million annually.
The National Housing and Rehabilitation Association recently
presented its first annual J. Timothy Anderson Award for Excellence
in Historic Rehabilitation to 63 Wall Street for a $50 million
historic preservation and residential conversion executed
by Newmark Construction Services and RBNB63Wall, the building's
owner.
Cushman & Wakefield, a
New York-based real estate services firm, has acquired long-time
business partner Royal LePage Commercial, a Toronto-based
real estate firm that has been a subsidiary of Toronto-based
Brascan Corp. since 1999.
