Jones Lang LaSalle of Chicago has acquired project management specialist Quartararo & Associates Inc., which had a presence throughout the tri-state region. Jones Lang, a global real estate services and money management company, already had a New York presence, providing leasing and management services for 48 million sq. ft. of office buildings in the area, according to a company statement.

In the acquisition, Quartararo's co-founders Ray Quartararo and Dennis Squilla have joined Jones Lang's project and development services group as managing directors, along with 45 of their staffers. Quartararo also is serving as manager of Jones Lang's project and development services business in the Northeast region, replacing John Krush, who has shifted to focus more closely on development services initiatives. The company no longer uses the Quartararo name.
