Turner Construction Company announced that it acquired
assets of J.A. Jones/Tompkins Builders, Inc., the former subsidiary
of J.A. Jones Construction Company, effective Oct. 30 for
$10 million. Under terms of the acquisition Tompkins Builders,
Inc., the third largest construction company in the Washington,
D.C. area, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Turner.
Two construction firms, Goldberg &
Connolly and Altieri, Kushner
& Miuccio, P.C. have merged effective Nov. 1. The
new firm will be known as Goldberg & Connolly.
Peter Gisolfi Associates has
received two awards from the Mid-Hudson/Westchester chapter
of the American Institute of Architects in its 2003 Design
Award Program. The awards honor the firm for designing the
new Dobbs Ferry Public Library in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. and its
reinvention of the Fox Lane Middle School in Bedford, N.Y.
