Skanska USA Building Inc. is forming the Skanska Pharmaceutical
Group headquartered in Parsippany, N.J., to extend the traditional
construction management services provided to its pharmaceutical
and biotech clients to include assisting them in the validation
of their facilities for FDA approval.
BRAINSTORM Technology in New
York, N.Y., has been awarded a $2 million grant from the National
Institute of Standards and Technology's advanced technology
program to develop software that creates accurate, realistic,
three-dimensional models of buildings and other large-scale
environments.
Slattery Skanska has signed
a partnership agreement to further promote elements of the
safety and health program at the New York Power Authority's
500-megawatt, combined-cycle power plant in Astoria, N.Y.
In addition to Slattery, the general contractor, members of
the partnership include the U.S. Department of Labor, the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration and trade union
officials.
EDAW, Inc. announced the integration
of its Montclair, N.J., staff with the New York City office
of William B. Kuhl to open the New York office of EDAW, Inc.
The office will be located in midtown Manhattan.
Severud Associates Consulting Engineers
P.C. is celebrating its 75th anniversary. To commemorate the
milestone, the company held a celebratory event for hundreds
of colleagues and clients.
Schoor DePalma was selected
by the South Plainfield Board of Education in South Plainfield,
N.J., as the engineer of record. The company will offer engineering
and consulting services for projects at the district's seven
schools during the 2003-2004 school year.
