Granite Construction Northeast is the new name of the entity that had been Granite Halmar Construction, a construction firm based in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. It remains an affiliate of Granite Construction of Watsonville, Calif.

Walters Group, a residential and commercial real estate developer based in Barnegat and Marlton, N.J., has received two Fabulous Achievement in Marketing Excellence awards from the New Jersey Shore Builders Association. Ken DeMayo received the Director/Vice President of Construction of the Year award and Pam Posch Schuster received the Sales Manager of the Year award. In addition, Neal Sheridan and Laurie McManus were inducted into the Million Dollar Club, and Danielle Edreff was honored for Options/Upgrade Sales Achievement.

CB Richard Ellis Group, a commercial real estate services firm based in Los Angeles, has acquired Advocate Consulting Group, a real estate project and construction management consulting services firm based in New York.
