Livian Resigns From Buildings Department

Ronald Livian resigned his position as deputy commissioner for technical affairs with the New York City Department of Buildings, a spokeswoman for the department has confirmed. He will be leaving the job in mid-January.


Building Codes Subject of Public Forum

The New York City Department of Buildings' New York City Model Code Program is holding a public forum Jan. 28 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, One Bowling Green, New York, N.Y. The New York City Model Code Program is currently reviewing the existing New York City Building Code and the International Building Code 2003 in the effort to adopt the International Building Code (IBC) 2003 with modifications for New York City.
