Davoren to Succeed Fee as President of Turner Construction Co.

Peter J. Davoren will succeed Robert E. Fee as president of Turner Construction Co., announced Thomas C. Leppert, chief executive officer of The Turner Corp., the parent company of Turner Construction Co. Fee, who will retire in December, was president for the past five years.

"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work closely with Bob and Tom over the course of the year, in preparation of leading construction operations for Turner," said Davoren.

In his new role, Davoren will have responsibility for Turner's core construction operations in all of the firm's business units, which include 45 geographic offices and several market segment groups, and will oversee national sales. He will continue to report to Fee and Leppert. Prior to his promotion, Davoren was the senior vice president and general manager of Turner's New York office.

"Turner has grown considerably in the last few years … Peter's appointment recognizes his strengths as well as the needs of the entire organization. Peter's appointment will allow for a smooth transitioning of responsibilities over the course of this year, something we had long planned," said Fee.

James C. McKenna has been selected to assume Davoren's position as senior vice president, general manager of the New York office. Davoren and McKenna will continue to be based in the New York office.

Other organizational changes include Rodney J. Michalka was named executive vice president of business initiatives and Donald G. Sleeman was also named executive vice president.
