Davoren to Succeed Fee as President
of Turner Construction Co.
Peter J. Davoren will succeed Robert E. Fee as president of
Turner Construction Co., announced Thomas C. Leppert, chief
executive officer of The Turner Corp., the parent company of
Turner Construction Co. Fee, who will retire in December, was
president for the past five years.
"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work closely
with Bob and Tom over the course of the year, in preparation
of leading construction operations for Turner," said
Davoren.
In his new role, Davoren will have responsibility for Turner's
core construction operations in all of the firm's business
units, which include 45 geographic offices and several market
segment groups, and will oversee national sales. He will continue
to report to Fee and Leppert. Prior to his promotion, Davoren
was the senior vice president and general manager of Turner's
New York office.
"Turner has grown considerably in the last few years
Peter's appointment recognizes his strengths as well
as the needs of the entire organization. Peter's appointment
will allow for a smooth transitioning of responsibilities
over the course of this year, something we had long planned,"
said Fee.
James C. McKenna has been selected to assume Davoren's position
as senior vice president, general manager of the New York
office. Davoren and McKenna will continue to be based in the
New York office.
Other organizational changes include Rodney J. Michalka was
named executive vice president of business initiatives and
Donald G. Sleeman was also named executive vice president.
