BCA of N.J. and BOMA Westchester Name Officers

Both organizations announce their 2007 slate of officers.

Projects Win AGC/DOT Honors

Three projects won honors for their environmental or partnering innovations from the New York State Department of Transportation and the Associated General Contractors of America’s New York chapter at the 20th annual joint conference those organizations hosted recently in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The winner of the Formal Partnering Award – presented to construction projects that best epitomize the principles of partnering between the department of transportation, general contractors, and inspection consultants – was the Town Hall Bridge Replacement project team in Rochester.

Two projects won the Informal Partnering Award: the Route 7 Crosstown Arterial Reconstruction project in the town of Niskayuna, N.Y., and city of Schenectady; and the Interstate 81 paving project in Pamelia and Watertown, N.Y.

The groups also named three projects as recipients of the conference’s Environmental Recognition Awards, which honors efforts to preserve the surrounding environment during projects. They were: the Jefferson Road Bridge Replacement project in Monroe County; the reconstruction of Route 227 bridges over Hector Falls Creek in the town of Hector, N.Y., in Schuyler County; and the Oniontown Road reconstruction in Dover, N.Y., which is in Dutchess County.
