Award of Merit - Renovation/Restoration
The $20-million American Trucking Associations Capitol Hill Legislative office involved integrating three adjacent structures into one space. It also included the building of two levels of underground parking with 55 spaces that encompass the footprint of all three buildings. The parking structure required that the three structures remain placed as they were rather than demolished. Construction, begun in November 2007 and completed in December 2010, took place in two main phases: the below-grade parking levels and the above-grade renovation of the three buildings
