Parsons Brinckerhoff, New York, has named John Annoni a senior supervising construction engineer. His projects include construction of the new 72nd Street station for the Second Avenue Subway in New York City. Parsons Brinckerhoff is serving as construction manager on the project.

Parsons Brinckerhoff has also hired Mark Mulvey as senior principal technical specialist. In his new position, Mulvey will analyze terminal operations, operating plans and fleet utilization with the firm's Transit & Rail Technical Excellence Center.

The New York Building Congress' 2012 executive committee includes: Lynne P. Brown, New York University; Louis J. Coletti, Building Trades Employers' Association; Gary LaBarbera, Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York; Jorge J. Lopez, Con Edison; Michael F. McNally, Skanska USA; Terrence E. O'Neal, Terrence O'Neal Architect; Jonathan D. Resnick, Jack Resnick & Sons; Milo E. Riverso, STV Group Inc.; Ralph J. Esposito, Lend Lease US Construction; Joseph A. Ienuso, Columbia University; and Michael S. Zetlin, Zetlin & De Chiara.

EDI Landscape, Hartford, Conn., has been certified as a fence contractor under the Connecticut Dept. of Transportation's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program. To be certified, a firm must be a for-profit small business in which socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest and control management and daily business operations.

Weidlinger Associates, New York, has promoted George Pappas and Jeffrey Hu to principals of the firm's transportation group.

 

Dolden
Spector Group, New York, has hired Ginger Doldon as director of marketing.

Also, Spector Group is relocating its New York City offices to 183 Madison Ave.

STV, New York, has promoted Christine Flaherty to vice president. She joined STV in 2004 as a project manager and has worked as a construction manager and owner's representative serving the firm's clients in the New York region. Flaherty was also named to ENR New York's 2012 "Top 20 Under 40" list.

Brent R. Walters, associate general counsel, has also been promoted to vice president. He joined STV in 2008.

Kwame Abasi Patterson has been named the new director of communications for the New York City District Council of Carpenters.

VIP Structures Inc., New York, has hired Jeffrey S. Indivero as a project manager. He brings with him more than 14 years of construction experience with companies such as New Jersey-based Panattoni Construction and Hunt Construction Group. His experience includes educational, civic, manufacturing and recreational projects with budgets of up to $85 million.

Goldberg & Connolly, New York, has named Erik A. Ortmann as partner. He focuses on construction law and commercial litigation.

Union Square Partnership, New York, has hired Felicia Tunnah as director of economic development and special projects. Her responsibilities include creating and managing programs to enhance the district's streetscape, and to promote retail and commercial activity.

The Associated General Contractors of New Jersey (AGC of NJ) has announced a new slate of officers. Gene Sullivan of Railroad Construction Co., Paterson, N.J., is taking the helm as president; Michael Criscola of the Crisdel Group Inc., South Plainfield, N.J., is vice president; Rolando Acosta of Northeast Remsco Construction, Farmingdale, N.J., is secretary; and Joseph McCann of Moretrench American Corp., Rockaway, N.J., is treasurer.

The association also honored Josh Benson, president of Tilcon, Wharton, N.J., and the outgoing president of AGC of NJ, for his service. Jeff Cruz, senior vice president of E.E. Cruz & Co., Holmdel, N.J., was also recognized with the AGC of NJ Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to the association and ongoing efforts for the good of the union construction industry in the state.

 

Adams
Sam Schwartz Engineering (SSE), New York, has named Douglas E. Adams as director of active transportation planning. Adams, also an associate with the firm, has managed several award-winning bicycle and pedestrian transportation projects and studies, including the Brooklyn-Queens Enhancement Study.

In addition, Jeffrey Smithline, SSE vice president and director of traffic engineering in New York, has joined the executive committee of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Pedestrian and Bicycle Council.

JCJ Architecture, New York, has relocated its New York office from the Empire State Building to 2 Grand Central Tower at 140 East 45th St.

The firm has also hired Jeffrey Wynkoop as senior project manager and promoted Peter Bachman from studio director to managing principal and Alexandra Lopatynsky from project manager to senior associate/studio manager.

Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers, New York, has promoted Steven Hammer and David Tenenbaum to senior vice presidents.
