ACEC Inducts New Officers and Directors for 2010-2011

The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York has inducted new officers and directors for 2010-2011 during ACEC’s annual meeting at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan that took place on June 16, 2010.

Neil Lucey, senior vice president and New York area manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff, New York City is the new chairman and outgoing chairman, Robert J. Radley of T.Y. Lin International Engineering, Architecture & Land Surveying is the new national director of ACEC New York. Radley will serve as a contact between ACEC New York and the national organization in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff in April of this year, Lucey spent twenty years working for Daniel Frankfurt, a consulting engineering firm, where he eventually became president and integrated the firm with HDR of Omaha, Nebraska in 2006. Lucey, who holds a bachelor of engineering degree from Manhattan College and a master of science degree in transportation from Polytechnic University of New York, managed HDR’s transportation practice in New York.

Lucey has also been a member of ACEC New York since 1998 where he has served on the board of directors and chaired the Special Committee on Public Private Partnerships. He served as treasurer in 2008-2009 and as president-elect in 2009-2010.

Other members on the new executive committee include Chairman-Elect, Michael Leydecker of Wendel Duchscherer Architects & Engineering, Treasurer, Joseph R. Amato of Cameron Engineering & Associates, Secretary, Michael Simpler of Jaros, Baum & Bolles, Vice Chairmen, Robert Cartwright of Stantec Consulting Services, Raymond Daddazio of Weidlinger Associates and Linda Shumaker of Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying.

Representing the various regions that make up ACEC New York are Richard Buck for the Western Region, Dolores Buckenberger for TranSystems, Mid Hudson Region, Thomas J. Cascino, AECOM, Eastern Region, Eugene Daly, L.K. McLean Associates, Long Island Region, Katherine A.
