Different Sensibility And Technology
There is a new excitement about the design potential of
architecture that will blossom as each new decade approaches.
When post-modern architecture had its short-lived rage 10
years ago, many architects were laughing at Buck Rogers'
visions for the future. Today, access to computer-generated
forms and new developments in glass, metal and synthetics
allow us to believe that architecture in the future will
reflect a different sensibility and technology that the
familiar styles of the past.
Architects still cherish the valuable constants of human
scale, spatial experience, natural light and other key characteristics
we have learned from historical examples. The reinterpretation
of these architectural qualities with new means is the design
search that we will continue to enjoy in the future.
